Just before watching this video on my next play through I found that beautiful hand painted map

Game really isn't that hard. I'm also a Souls vet, and this game is much easier than Bloodborne for me. First time I'm playing this and it took me 3 tries to kill Ogre but that was it so far. Every other boss up to Lady Butterfly I killed on the first try, including Gyobu. Lady Butterfly took me like 10 tries though or more, but I finally got her once I realized you can shuriken her in the air and interrupt her attacks. I tried beating the Headless guy without Divine Confetti and I died - I'm gonna come back once I have more confetti.

evade only is a powerful strat that requires locking and unlocking your camera every sec or so, it requires insane skill and is much much harder than deflecting, but if you master it holy god sekiro becomes a completely different game

Subbed and saving this to my Favourites for when i do eventually buy and play this. The only thing I'm not a fan of in looking at this game is the mythical type stuff. I prefer reality based stuff like Ghost Of Tsushima..... but i love Samurai stuff so I'm gonna have to give this a try when the price is right. The challenging/rewarding aspect makes me want to try this too. Thanks 👍

No one mentions persimmons. They should. A singular Senpou kick to dodge a sweep attack works insanely well, too.

the biggest problem of the game are the bad game mechanics. if you dont have a decent gaming tv or monitor u cant beat the game. i have massive input lag with my tv and its almost impossible to parry and all that shit. makes this game completly senseless. so.. its "nice to know" that their are tips for the game, but tbh i prefer 100% games like nioh or bloodborne. some call it skill to beat sekiro, i think 99% of the ppl beat the game from despair.

I knew about number 19 because the game told me when I was teleporting to rest

I wasn't upset about the combat mechanics... I was dissapointed that there was no reason to play the game more than once. No upgraded items etc. Playing it the second time - I realized that the combat makes Sekiro my favorite From Software game.

I’m sorry maybe it’s just me but Sekiro is my favorite From Software game and I actually believe it to be easier than the previous games. Dark Souls and Bloodborne had some stupid bosses and your only way of killing them was to slash at their health. I love how in Sekiro, if you can deflect at the right time and learn the manageable boss patterns, the game is pretty easy. That being said I’m a big fan of challenging games but this is the first hard game where I came out of the boss fight with an appreciation for its mechanics rather than “fuck that shit I’m never playing that boss again.” It truly deserves its game of the year award.

I'm so later for the party, just now playing and enjoying it. My pro tip though, don't be afraid to die, study the enemies and the parry, that's all, once you stop fearing death and can actually SEE the movements of your enemies and not deflect out of fear.... I won't say you will have the game mastered, but its a great first step.

My first souls like game is sekiro,and after i plate dmuch of sekiro,i wanna try dark souls,and boy,my muscle memory making it ez,combat is like water,except Bloodborne

I dont use mikiri is that in order to use it you either have to stand still or dodge towards the enemy, most of the time when im going to use it i end up dodging or right or left because im always trying to go around the enemies

The few things that keeps sekiro from being my favorite is lacking customization lack of weapon variety and multiplayer

Customization is already here (3 skins is not much but anyway) and no fucking with weapons and multiplayer are among reasons why I prefer sekiro over other from's games.

It's all about timing , and memorizing the bosses and enemies attacks. Once a sequence starts they wont hardly ever change( except for owl who literally starts fienting attacks when he get constant deflects.) Dying is okay. I promise. You have to learn their movement ls and once you learn to time your deflects andbuse your mikiri counter, lightning counter and the jump kick, that's the basics to beat the game. And personally i love replaying g because once you get good I really enjoy bullying the bosses who are bullied me for so long!! F u snake eyes.

God... the grinding... but i did eventually get to at least one of the endings.

Guys! I think you all got better controller while playing this, and it seems like everyone has mad with this game, my keyboard more difficult, but i enjoy when deflecting enemy attack, it easy for me XD i just spend 20hours to complete this game at my first time

Never really cared for the block stagger method that Sekiro basically demands that you learn. I used it for the cramped centipede fight out of necessity, but I was so proud to have beaten most of Sekiro with my own Nindo, the ninja way of dodging and running. Got all four endings through New Game Plus as well.

ALSO. Living force skill + flame barrel combo is THE MOST useful skill/prosthetic when fighting majority enemies/mini bosses. OH and Flowing Passage+Divine Confetti = Constant chip dmg even if the enemy is blocking 🤙🏾🤙🏾 whoop Orin and Geneshiro by cooking those fucks 😂

Great game, worse thing is there isnt much healing gourd you can collect all the others you want but if you dont keep healing gourds your gonna die pretty fast against bosses, Im stuck on the flyin witch chick or whatever she is banchee because I have no life to replenish with jaja

I love combact of Sekiro, those who critict it, is because they dont know how to play, this game consits in patience, practice to get skills, if you dont like it because you think is so boring, just dont play it.

At the beginnig I was so frustrated because i wasnt able to pass the "Ogro" miniboss. I probably died more than 300 times, it was insane, I started to hate the game. I leaved the game, but didn't stop playing it forever just for not lose the money. The day before i came back to tried, and after many attempts and practice... I got it!!!! How exciting!!!

Overlooked mechanic? More like tips for beginners.

Hand is good but it's not as hard as people say it is as compared to dark souls 1 and 2 yeah 2 , ds2 has hardest DLC bosses ever putting you in a position to lose all armour and go naked against most powerful enemies good examples are fume knight and sir alonne and ice DLC arena boss while sekiro has harder bosses but it does not motivate discoverability only thing that I needed to farm was divine confeti. Common enemies are too easy and more easily skippable you could avoid all areas and fight only bosses and bosses can be dealth without feeling any need to levelling as they are levelmakers as killing bosses and mini bosses are only way to level exploring areas feels boring and unnecessary. You don't get stuck anywhere in the gam e than at two or three bosses but remember death was easy earned in dark souls i nearly died for true for first time while fighting butterfly as i was so defensive on first playthrough trying to save my health bar and explore . And remember most frustrating deaths in dark souls were either killed by bosses with very less health bar left or by stuck in tight areas with enemies in bunch from more than two sides as dark souls character was not a gymnast or a ninja but had trouble climbing ladders and or jumping cliffs so more than one enemy at a time was too much for him as his/her attacks were more focused on one enemy and range lacked to be engaging with groups of enemies and also stealth was not an option man or woman must slice or beef through each enemy to reach a bonfire of to see what future holds but sekiro can jump through right next to boss before he know it.

Hard mode has been there since dark souls 2 , remember covenant of champions on first bonfire why people overlook ds2 is real masterpiece as it brings many good things to add to the formula of from software.

So far I've every boss I ran into except for that dude on the bridge and lady butterfly. I just need better attack for the dude and learn lady butterflies moves. Oh ya fuck the headless when i upgrade my shield I'll try again.
