Why not? They are cool and big part of the combat. And pretty much visceral attacks or backstabs from souls

Game looks near flawless. Only concern I have is the tutorials. It's a huge pet peeve of mine when a game interrupts itself to tell you how to do something. Hopefully this is just something that happens in the demo, though. From's games were highly repayable because of how fast and fluid it was to blaze through the tutorials and get into the actual game

The game looks nice. But for me Ni-Oh kind of set the bar a bit higher when it came to combat and game mechanics. The whip (Or what item the character uses to get to higher places) looks like a pretty nice new mechanic, but it doesn't seem to affect the gameplay path/fights that much as I would like it to. Also it would be nice if you could grab onto something, hit a button when you reach the top of it for the character to step a foot on it and jump or front flip so you could grab again onto something else to make the game even more fluid. And it could be nice to be able to push mobs out of the map. It would give an opportunity for players like me that don't necessarily want to fight monsters like that chained ogre to deplete his HP completely, but rather find a way to kill him with the environment, and then take care of the smaller mobs. Oh, also nice, sounds cues (Maybe ones that fit with the music theme) when you miss a hit (9:30). It would make the whole experience more immersive.

From what I see, you could get a lot done with a stealth play style but theres a top notch combat system when you get noticed. Thats great for a player like me. I'm a great stealth player and an average Soulsborne player.

It's nothing like any of the ACs. At most it has some very superficial similarities in terms of combat to the newer ACs.

Nioh was just Ninja Gaiden with Diablo's loot system and corpse run and Dark Souls' checkpoint and growth system. Sekiro is taking over the legacy of Tenchu and building up from it with BB like combat.

I kinda miss the spook factor that DS & Bloodborne have. I hope theirs at least a couple of grim, dark areas rather than just all Japanese mystical stuff. Don’t get me wrong, this is cool and all.

Well, this killed my hype. Seems to have no customization/new weapon playstyles, A dumb as fuck respawn on the spot system, terrible stealth seeing as the dude literally cannot spot you even if your just a few feet in front of it while running around... So on and so fourth... Would of had me sold If they kept the pacing and art style of this game, but kept the customizable nature and battle focus of dark souls. They always do something stupid in games now days... Everything looks amazing, then you notice there is one or two things ALWAYS that ruin the rest of the experience...

I have an issue with those critical attacks. Bloodborne's viscerals are extremely bloody, but also reasonable. You're literally reaching with your hand into their chest (or head on some enemies) and tearing it out. There isn't anywhere near enough blood pressure and blood running through the neck at any given time for that spray of blood in this game's critical attacks to be possible.

It's my idea, or it looks easier than Bloodborne!!!

Idk about this. It'll probably by a 9/10 game as usual, but it looks mildly like Nioh and I never got good enough to beat Nioh. I got the platinum for Bloodborne and beat DS3 easily enough, other than having a tough time with Pontiff, princes and Soul of Cinder. Nioh still just kicks my ass

It seems every new game FromSoft puts out is absolute Gold. Dark Souls, BloodBorne, and Now Sekiro. It seems FromSoft isn't afraid to innovate and tweak their formula to keep it fresh and exciting and i love that about their games. I look forward to playing the hell out of this game.

The player movement is incredibly fast, but look how punishing the enemies are! Fast attacks and sticky lock on. The from software trademarked hug the butt tactic will be even less viable than its ever been

The footage of this game reminds me a little bit of Cow and Chicken, a series that ran on Cartoon Network when I was a kid. Allthough the name of the series would suggest it is about a squirrel and a snake, it is actually about a cow and a chicken. I did tell a lie, as this footage reminds me nothing of that. This looks promising.

This is looking to be one of my favourite games of all time. I am really into Nioh, and from doing a game more like nioh with all that Ninja Gaiden type stuff surely will be amazing. I'm a sucker for this style of Japanese fantasy. I just hope the mele system has more to it than dark Souls as I really do enjoy the 3 stance System in Nioh.

Damn this is like the mix between tenchu and dark souls and i'm loving every bits of it.
