Yea I was wondering why one of the worlds was getting darker for me and now I get it. The damn Maneaters...

I have an interesting problem that I thought I would shop out to you. Okay, I'm playing as a knight and I have 20 endurance as I type this. My weight is at 38% and yet I'm still fat rolling. This has really screwed up my playstyle and has caused me to change up the way I play. I have thrown all nonessential items in my Nexus inventory. My character has the starting armor, Crushing Axe +1, Heat Shield, 10 Crescent Grass, 5 Moon Grass, 3 Bombs, and 3 Fire Essence *sauce...that's it. I'm sitting at roughly 38% with my weight and I'm still fat rolling. I have given up on my preferred Claymore+Heat Shield play style (PS3). What is going on with this? Any ideas on what's happening here? I actually thought this was the way it plays now but I have friends that play with a knight and they're not having the same issues. Any ideas as to what is going on here? I hope my save isn't bugged as I'm not willing to restart....I have gone too far. I cleared 1-1, 1-2, and I'm working through 2-1 as we speak. What's really annoying is this fat roll business has actually caused me to die a number of times. Addendum- Playing the Souls games is a lot like ridding a bike, once it clicks the game becomes easy. Well...I am back to the learning phase as I can't dodge roll anything anymore. I'm finding the fat fire throwing enemies (laughing) almost impossible without hard surfaces to hide behind as I can't roll away.

A huge tip that's probably too late for anyone to see: Do NOT make your world tendency for 4-1 Pure Black, an npc phantom shows up on spawn that will literally murk low level players in a single hit until you can parry him to death (harder than it sounds). Just do yourself a favor and don't deal with him until you're ready.

I just realized there are most likely many new players coming in who have never played dark souls who are watching this type of game for the first time. That’s crazy I remember how cool dark souls was back in 2012 when I first played it

I hate invaders...I just want to play online and enjoy messages...It's an outdated design mechanic they could improve on. Nioh did a better job with this multiplayer concept. I guess I'll play offline or just stay in soul form to play in peace.

Just finished my first playthrough and loved it! Wish there was a different mechanic than throw yourself to your doom in the Nexus to avoid the world darkening though. It's just kind of goofy to me!

Literally never use shields. My circle of friends always viewed it as bs.

Patches was even in bloodborne. He's a running theme with fromsoft games just like the moonlight greatsword. They're just kind of meta traditions, they aren't really meant to imply that the worlds are connected.

As useful as this is there's something special about going in blind folk, consider it for a first playthrough!

For the soul farming bit, I find that in 4-2, using Flame sorceries is the easiest way to kill the Reaper. Just peek over the edge behind him, which is _just_ close enough to lock on, and he'll go down in a few Flame Toss hits (you might need Fireball as you go through NG cycles). Alternatively, put Turpentine on your weapon or have it on the Dragon upgrade path, fall on him for stagger, and go to town. Because you have to spend some time walking over to the ledge behind him, usually killing the apparitions on the stone walkways, he'll end up spawning extra apparitions, so more souls.

I've upgraded my Long Sword to +8 in the Nexus. So not sure what you mean when you said you can only level them to +5

Most of these tips are so basic, its like having someone read you an instruction manual. I can tell you were really grasping at things to extend the length of the video. I mean seriously, rolling consumes stamina? It feels like you think your audience is a bunch of braindead children who need to be spoon-fed the most basic mechanics youd realize within the first minute of gameplay.

When delevelling, please have in mind that one cannot lose any points gained in vitality. This is very useful if you start as a templar knight with only 6 points in magic and you want to learn some basic spells which require 10 in magic. Raise Magic to 10, learn the basic spells then delevel to 6 Magic, thus saving 4 point in your build. By the way have you some idea where the meta level will be? Level 120 or 125?

Ok...so I'm inBolateria or whatever, tried to kill the king dude with the magic sword inside a chapel and died too many times it seems, because now that I'm trying to kill the giant knight I cant even get to the door because there's 6 knights outside and 4 of them are red. Guessing this is because the world tendency is pretty dark in Bolateria for me right now. I just want to quickly take the giant knight and then kill the Prime Evil Demons in the 3rd section. I've been grinding for souls for a looong time now and the game is starting to loose its charm :S

Dammit im still new to gaming i only started 4 months ago with the ps4 i had bloodborne,sekiro and dark souls 1,2 and 3 i finished dark souls and bloodborne i never got to finish sekiro. Are all games this difficult or is it just fromsoftware's games !? I only played those games so im really confused. And whats a casul!?. Im so confused.

I've been noticing and enjoying that Demon Souls gives you a lot more unique, awesome armor early. In DS and BB it took a little while before I found an outfit I loved. I guess that makes up for the item load system. I used to love having all my armor on me, so I could Fashion Souls on the go. But I'm trying not to complain about the different features and enjoy the difference in challenge that they create

The new parrying really messed with me, that you can't hold block and tap parry like you could in the other games. You could do that before right? Now I have to let go of block at the right time, and if I tap parry too soon, it won't register as I'm still "blocking" and I'll take the hit. I used to be parry guy, I've barely used it in this game so far

Best place to farm souls is the stingrays with storm ruler at storm king not the reaper

I played the soul games but never beat them. It would usually get way to hard or something and I never knew why. I got a ps5 and wanted to give demon souls another shot but I was on the fence. Seeing your video helped me remember why I liked the game in the first place which was the areas, random characters, and the hidden features of the game world. I’ll pick the game up and give it another shot. Your video broke things down where it was easy to understand so thanks much!
