Midir seems the closest to the everlasting dragons. Of all the dragons we've seen he's got the body, head, wings, and most importantly the scales of the everlasting dragons. He only looks a little different than them and is perhaps smaller. I'm betting he was a newborn/egg/youth at the time of the beginning of the Age of Fire and was acquired at that time.

I cannot stomach the thought that Patches made it through everything and I didn't. So, as far as I'm concerned, my dude made it through all the games. Chosen Undead but decided to not link the fire, changed his mind and tried to link the fire in DS2 but failed and became the Ashen One who then usurped the fire. And then went into the new painted world created using the blood of the Dark Soul seeking a cure for the need for humanity to and to replace it with blood of the Dark Soul therein. Only to get amnesia thanks to Blood Ministration and then kick the fuck out of countless horrors therein with subconscious exasperation and then accidentally becoming a eldritch god-thing. After killing Patches, of course. The dirty bastard.

I do hate killing dragons ! But I do not have choice. End of the world, the Age of Men (Age of Dark) or the Age of Fire did not come after all.

I had a suspicion that Lapp was patches right from the start, even when he was handing over the seigbrau. As soon as i rounded the corner and seen him squatting i killed him, didn't even talk to him, just immediately started hacking at him. Fuck that guy. He claims he's 'devoid of all worldly wants' yet he has the biggest greed of anyone you meet. Souls. He'll happily kill you, take your stuff and try to sell it off for some souls. He is the only character that isn't true to himself, he has no duty in the other dark souls game he is there to grab as much souls as he can. Fuck that guy he dies in every playthrough of mine.

I happened to experriment with chamelion in the area outside the riddle for the first time ever, because I was afraid of the giant dude in the middle. I was happy to be able to play as a humanity, but I wondered how that would fit in as a disguise in that level. Then I found the riddle and it all made sense. :D

For #1 You can use a young white birch instead of using chameleon for anyone that leaves casting stats around 0 or doesn’t have chameleon

9:11 Spoken out loud, Filianore is Filia-noir. Noir is the french word for black- ie darkness. So she is both the daughter of the sun and the daughter of darkness. Which is why in an art piece I'm working on, Filianore has the title Dark Sun, while Gwyndolin is the Dawn Sun. When Filianore was condemned to the ring city, Gwyndolin was fussed with his twin in the public eye. At least, that's my headcanon. (And Yorshka isn't actually Gwyn's child. She only tells the Ashen One that because Gwyn's wife (Fina), tried to hide her infidelity, so Gwyn is the only father she knows. Well until Yorshka's draconic traits started to show.)

I was wondering where the Midir boss fight was because I kept hearing about him before even reaching the ringed city... and didn't realize I already killed him at the cliff. I thought that was just a mini-boss fight with a random dragon and not Midir himself lol. Edit: I really should finish the video before commenting...

I was only able to defeat the Demon Prince because it has a different attack depending on what demon you killed first, that fireball attack is bullshit but if he uses the laser beam you can run into him while he is charging it and spank his face. It's one of the top three most difficult bosses of Dark Souls 3 for me, only behind Pontiff Sullyvan and Father Ariandel and Sister Friede.

You know what's interesting about that humanity sprite? You've often said that humanity is the abyss, a black things, but all the black flames shine through with light. Black is simply the absence of light, is it simply that we are somehow blinded from our humanity until it shines through the veil? Fire as the source of all light is the illusion, only when we turn away from fire into darkness will we begin to see true light.

What I understood from the Demon Prince Soul description was basically that once all other Demons die. The last one to die would KINDLE the flame of the Demon Prince again. Which is exactly what happens when you kill them. The only optional demons that could remain are the ones from the undead settlement and scorching lake along with the ODK. But looking at how the ODK is actually the king and already a "powerful" demon entity at least on title it seems understandable that he wouldn´t turn into his "son". The other 2 are very similar to him so I guess they have some conection to him specifically that makes the resurrection of the demon prince unviable on them

Vaati mentioned he'd have to restart his game with a new character to test the Argo-PVP mechanics, but fortunately you can do it without starting again. Head to the Purging Monument or the Velka Monument and select the third option. At the cost of 500 souls x Soul Level, you can actually respawn Argo the Judicator in the church and verse him/the player character again.

I wanted to solve the humanity puzzle myself and got stuck for hours, also tried everything and actually came pretty close as I cast Chameleon at the beginning of the lake which didn't work since I had to move a bit further... so I finally gave up, when I saw the solution I was like "ya, I wouldn't have got it in years"

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they did a dark souls 4. They could continue off from the ending where the firekeeper survives, referencing the age of fire restarting. I honestly think that it could happen. The darkness must return so that the world may be mended, to make way for a new age of fire

Is it even bloody POSSIBLE to see all side content of this game in one go? How many times can you miss the steps of something like The Hollowed Marriage and never put together why? I love things like this in games and hate them at the same time.

My game glitched out once and the fireball prince “died” it was still at about a quarter health and then it sent my phantoms home saying the battle was won, but we hadn’t emptied the health bar and the demon prince was still there, the fog gate leading to the ringed city gone. Edit: the health bar wasn’t emptied but it did disappear.
