i always comeback to be remind that dark souls is more than bosses and speedruns, that has great depth in it's world and lore, came late to the series and to Vaati but damn i love it so much now.

This is my favorite video vaati has done. He is a beautiful man who tells beautiful stories. This is legitimately the only lore video that makes me cry. I cannot overstate how amazing a job vaati did on this video.

Vaati, I do not know if you will read this but most of dark souls community dislike that you explain stuff but I always prove them wrong and tell them that you are the best story teller and the best story decrypting person for dark souls. I will fight for you. To the end.

I never would have discovered the Souls series if it wasn't for these lore videos. So thank you for not only introducing me to a game series that I've spent hundreds of hours enjoying, but helping me enjoy it more by understanding the story I never would have thought to read item descriptions for the plot of a game. I cant tell you what this series means to me, It's helped me through some REALLY hard times. My Grandfather died of cancer and my Grandmother had a stroke not long after paralyzing the left side of her body crippling her so I've spent the last three years taking care of her. Then my dad got cancer this year and died two months ago and now I have to care for my mother who has heart disease and had to have a quadruple bypass, and was just diagnosed as diabetic.

For me... after Sif know who you are, Sif try to stop you from the same fate as his friend Artorias and fight you as a test if you are worthy enough.

I think that the term Pygmy might actually just be in perspective to gwyn and the lords. All of those gods were large, significantly more so then humans, though not so big as giants. Ergo, perhaps what the lords called Pgymies were actually just regular humans, these smaller reflections of the Lords.
