i dont really see the connection between the angelic feathers in lothric castle and the angles in the dreg heap. these angels are insectoid and fleshy, with no feathers to speak of

I feel they’re different angels. In fact - I’m not even sure they’re called angels in game. My assumption is that these are the Pilgrim Butterflies in their final ascendancy, but in a mockery of the angels’ form.

Havel’s set is found in anor lando where the silver knights defend gwynevere in ds1. So this could reinforce that Ledo locked up havel.

To add to the Ledo/Havel connection, you can find Havel's Ring +3 right below Ledo's area on a cliff. Perhaps he discarded it in remourse.

I know a long time passed, but I could Just buy the DLC now, and I have a question about Alva: how could he be connected to Karla, which Is the only other dark sorceress in the game, knowing that he invade us at the beginning of Irithill dungeons, and his body is found in front of Karla's Cell? The Stone Humped Hag is by far my favorite. I really love her character, just a grouchy old woman that warms up to you and becomes a grandmotherly old woman. I cried when I found her dead.

Not sure who if anyone will read this or if it's already been suggested, but something about the reference to the pilgrims in this video made something click for me. Physical lore, of a sort. We see the stone pilgrims questing, and we see in brief the pilgrim butterflies up top of the castle. Butterflies are things that emerge from cocoons - perhaps the hump-backed pilgrims are similar in some way to the supplicants in Queelag's domain; unhatched. What eventually emerges - the pilgrim butterfly - has elements of both cinder and dragon. Perhaps the endgame there is a hollowing to release not the abyssal dark soul, but the fragment of Gwyn's curse that binds it? Edit: If Gwyn's power comes from his lord soul, then the binding of humanity is made of the same - and the unnatural prolongation of fire's age cannot fully draw to a close while those looped filaments remain separate. There's still a question of whether the pilgrims (assuming that they are pilgrim "cocoons") are serving the fragment of a lord soul they contain or the other way around, but the butterfly's animosity toward the unkindled ash suggests a goal separate from its presumed intent.

Wasn’t Artorias formerly a silver knight as well? Ledo isn’t exactly the first unique silver knight.

I liked what you were on about angels prior to this video honestly... If you note the pilgrim angels they behave no different from a goldfish, and this 'angelic form' is a 'gift of eternal life' given to those who served/supported the linking of the flame. I mean throughout the series everything you fight that had a connection with the prosperity of the flame was not content on their decision at all. This all is just you seeing the toll that keeping the fire alive takes on everybody when a new age should have dawned long ago.

In case nobody mentioned it yet, Akron is another silver knight with name and background, he appears in the comic Dark Souls Age of Fire as the main character

Even if you kill her, she rise from the dead to fullfil her duty. MOst probably that even the shrine have finally made it up there. At that point I know I lost you. It's the second occurence of you encountering her outside your original timeline, both kind of an end, and she was there to greet you, whatever the age. Wetnurse a day, wetnurse ALL days. The proof is the same, the ring, nobody asked himself why she can sell it to you? Comon we all know who she is we just like keeping it a mistery and just buy stuff without asking for it. And as for the angels, as well as pilgrim butterflies... they are the same, they are the weakest enemy you encounter in the game, hollows. The difference is the divergeance of form by time. Now it's important to note that the timeline you come from, and the timeline you enter from the moment you're outside the firelink shrine are not the same, since you'll enter the shrine of the Lothrics brother timeline and it will be already faded, Gundyr lying in failure for this age to survive on it's own(probably broke by the brothers themselves, or the wetnurse wich could be linked with her being cursed). And once you link the shrine, like you said, it's the end of the world, the end of the timeline, where all things gather for a final rest, and as you can see in the distance, architecture from your time has been made far more prolific that you ever knew, and you can see even more of it coming and falling on itself, stockpiling, yet it keeps on, more than you ever could imagine, it is striking to view all that was, and all that came to be all thanks to you, but to just finaly all end up here, like this, with her and you looking at the destiny who both been cursed upon both of you. "A vision that may be reserved to the Gods", or by extension, "Those whom the Gods have reserved worthy of them, their equals, or the accursed" So... furthermore let's say that from the moment you enter Lothric Castle, time has been going forward as well as you progressed, so it is not the same moment as wehn you entered Lothric high wall, important to note okay? Now, the hint about the butteflies, the angels, and the hollows, is both their look, their number, and their cult. It is the same. Those who becomes pilgrim are worshipped and fueled by the faith of others to mutate into these, early on, tree-looking hollows, mid-stage into butterflies, then later on, angels. They're all right in your face all the way, but they're so strange at first glance that we all discarded them as being "non-important", or there for the gore and look.

Havel, rocks, a grey world, dragons, and in dark souls 3 the world progressively seems to slowly turn to stone and gets, how to put it, more dusty, more dry. Oh, and the exiled son of Gwyn. It's all linked in a way we still haven't though about. And Ludleth being an exiled Pygmy from the land of the pygmies. We need to reconsider the lore. I'm replaying every game and really think about everything I will see and read, because I'm pretty sure we missed things that may be of importance.

This is incredibly late but if the Stone Humped Hag was the Wet Nurse of Lothric, and an agent of Londor, then she could be another candidate for his private mentor that doubted the linking of the fire. Yoel teaches sorceries, which gives us a connection between Londor and the description mentioning the private mentor being for Soul Stream.

After watching your video on this I'm tempted to play the game and start making a wizard build. Those spells look lethal.
